Didier Drogba Scores First Hat-trick of Premier League Season

| August 18, 2010
Didier Drogba starred for Chelsea against West Bromwich Albion, on August 14, as the Premier League Champions demolished the minnows, 6-0.
Drogba, who ended the last season with a hattrick, opened the new season with a  hattrick.
Here’s how Drogba got his hattrick:
Goal # 1: 45th Minute
Chelsea was awarded a free kick from 25 yards. Drogba’s whipped shot pierced the wall and made its way to the left-hand corner of the goal as goalkeeper Scott Carlson looked on helplessly. Chelsea 2-0 WBA.
Goal # 2: 55th Minute
John Terry took a header off a corner. Youssouf Mulumbu was there to prevent the ball from going in past the line, but the ball bobbled out of West Brom players’ control, and Drogba slammed it home. Chelsea 3-0 WBA.
Goal # 3: 67th Minute
The ball deflected hugely off an attempt to control it by defender Gabriel Tamas. Drogba was there to exploit the opportunity. Chelsea 5-0 WBA.
