Premier League Preview: Everton vs Newcastle

| September 17, 2010

Everton will be hoping their home record of 14 games unbeaten will help them recover from their worst start in the Premiership in 16 years; they have just 2 points from four games.

On the brighter side, the Goodison Park squad will be encouraged by their great showing last week, when they got in two injury time goals to draw 3-3 against Manchester United.

Everton coach Moyes is likely to rue the absence of Saha and Rodwell, both out owing to injury.

Newcastle will miss Gosling, Best and Taylor; Guthrie and Simpson could get starts.

Everton have the edge as Newcastle have not won in their last seven matches at Goodison Park.

Possible starting eleven for Everton: Howard, Baines, Distin, Jagielka, Hibbert, Fellaini, Heitinga, Arteta, Osman, Cahill, Pienaar
Possible starting eleven for Newcastle: Harper, Enriqu, Coloccini, Williamson, Perch, Gutierrez, Barton, Smith, Routledge, Caroll, Nolan
