Who Will Win English Premier League 2010-11?
Every football fan wants to know the answer to this question. We, at SportingAttitude, have tried to answer it for you in the form of an eBook titled, A Newbie’s Guide To The Premiership.
This book is equally intended for those who need an introduction to the Premier League, and those that have been following it for years.
The Premier League is not just a top flight league for association football teams, in England.
It is the perfect symbol of our times, adhering to principles of ‘One World’ and Globalisation, recurring themes of the last two decades.
The Premier League was formed in 1992, by breakaway teams from the Football League founded in 1888. Their chief incentive was a television rights deal. It was felt that the additional income would help improve the standard of English football, then at low ebb.
A large number of participating players are non-English, ensuring that the best players of the world get to showcase their talent to a global audience of more than half a billion, in 202 countries.
The Premier League owes its global popularity to worldwide television broadcasts. In China alone, more than 100 million fans watch the Premier League, every year, on television.
No other sporting event brings such a large number of people on the planet together, for nine months of the year.
Which begs the question: what do Premier League fans do, during the remaining three months? Answer: they look forward with excited anticipation to the next season!
This book is a small tribute to the phenomenon that is the Premier League. Hope you enjoy it, as much as we at SportingAttitude have enjoyed putting it together.
