IPL 4 Final Match Update: CSK Vs RCB

| May 28, 2011

The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), have defended their trophy and have emerged as the champions of IPL 4. With 74 matches being played, it has been one of the most exciting IPL editions. The turning point of this match was definitely Gayle’s wicket for ZERO! For CSK, Murali Vijay played a blinder of an innings scoring 95.

Latest Match Update: After 11 overs, it is now clearly a one-sided affair, going in favor of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB are currently batting on 77/6. What an anti-climax to such a BIG final’e,  as one of the viewers just tweeted – “Cricket is a game where only Dhoni wins!”.

Latest update after first innings, CSK, 205/5 (20.0 overs) : After winning the toss, CSK have set a huge target of 206. For CSK, the openers, Vijay and Hussey posted a record partnership of 159 runs. For RCB, Gayle bowled a fine last over picking two wickets and conceding only 7 runs. At this stage, clearly CSK seem to be the favourites.

D-Day is here! Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the finals of IPL 4. The two teams will lock horns for the third time, in this edition of the IPL.

Though Chennai are universally regarded as favourites to win, on home turf, Bangalore are no pushovers, as they have amply proved, time and again, this year. This game is going to be worth the wait, and you can expect both teams to come out swing. May the best team win!

The lucky captain Dhoni has won the toss and chooses to bat. It is a very good wicket and batting first is the right decision to make. It is a BIG game and this would definitely make Chennai the favorites. In the second half, spin will play a big part and we will have to see how RCB tackle Ashwin.
