Wimbledon 2011 Round Two Preview: Adrian Mannarino Vs Roger Federer
Federer breezed through the opening match of what could be his 17th Grand Slam title, and is set to meet a player ranked 52 places below him, in the second round.
These players have never met before, on a tennis court.
After a first round exit at the French Open, Mannarino had mixed luck in his grass court preparation, losing in the first round at Nottingham and the Unicef Open. But he managed to reach the quarter-finals in the AEGON Championship. He also prevailed in five sets of a tough first round match against Conor Niland,
Federer is playing in his first tournament since his loss to Nadal in the French Open final. The former world number one displayed imperious form in his 7-6, 6-2, 6-3 first round demolition of Kukushkin.
