Wimbledon 2011: Federer Through To Last 16
Seeded number 3, Roger Federer has thrashed David Nalbandian in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 and reached the Pre-Quarters stage of Wimbledon 2011. On 27th June, the Swiss will play his next match against Russian, Mikhail Youzhny. In the past, both have played against each other on 10 occassions and Federer has won every match. The last these two met was in the 2007 French Open where Federer beat Mikhail in straight sets.
In this years Wimbledon, Federer looks in great form and has managed to win every match in straight sets. The only time he looked like loosing a set was in his first round match against Mikhail Kukushkin, which he eventually won 7-6 (7-2), 6-4, 6-2.
Federer, the six-time Wimbledon champion would be looking to achieve the feat of winning the 7th time and equal the record held by Pete Sampras.
