US Open Tennis 2011: Schedule, Seedings and Prize Money
The US Open Tennis tournament for 2011 is scheduled to begin on August 29, and will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows Park, of Queens, New York City, United States. The final will be held on Sept 9, 2011.
This year, the USTA has increased the prize money at the US Open to a record $23.7 million, up by more than one million dollars, since last year. The top three men’s and top three women’s at the end of the event stand to gain a bonus of $2.6 million in addition to the base purse of $23.7 million, a total potential payout of $26.3 million.
