Sonny the 3 year old match-predicting sheep continues on his All Black rollercoaster ride, after correctly predicting the All Blacks to beat Argentina.
Dan Boyd, Star Sheep Agent says “Last week Sonny first sniffed around the Argentina flag before hoofing into the feed alongside the New Zealand flag suggested that Argentina would be ahead at some point in the game before NZ would come back to win the game, and that’s pretty much what happened on Sunday night”
Sonny Wool however is under 24 hour security watch after receiving death threats on his facebook and twitter accounts, after what has been described as pulling the wool over the Irish smiling eyes, when predicting Ireland would beat Wales which failed to come true.
“Your mutton chops tonight Sonny I’ve ordered extra mint sauce” one post said on the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Sonny-Wool/110652529038631
Meanwhile Sir Peter Leitch aka The Mad Butcher says “If he picks the All Blacks this weekend and they lose, I’m picking a spit roast at my new museum before the final next weekend.” When asked if a 3 year old sheep would taste any good he replied with “There has never been a bit of mutton the mad butcher hasn’t been able to make taste great.”
Sonny Wool won’t be put off with security concerns, and will make his way to the rugby field set up in the Petone Pak’n’Save carpark this Friday morning for his picks for the Semi’s. Will it be the Wallabies he gives the nod to, or can the All Blacks make it to the final??
Sonny Wool’s prized All Blacks jersey signed by Sonny Bill Williams will go on Trade Me after Friday’s picks with all proceeds to be donated to the Royal New Zealand SPCA. People can bid on the jersey by visiting www.trademe.co.nz/sonnysheep
Incidentally, Sonny Wool has picked Wales and also New Zealand to make it into the finals.
