Bookmakers Favour Chennai To Beat Delhi in Qualifier

| May 24, 2012

Chennai Super Kings are bookmakers’ favourites to beat Delhi Daredevils in the qualifier at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, on Friday, May 25, 2012, for a place in the IPL 5 final. Kolkata Knight Riders have already entered the final by virtue of beating Daredevils on Tuesday and await the winners of Friday’s game, for the final clash on May 27, 2012.

CSK attract bookie odds of 6/7 to reach the final against 18/19 quoted on a Daredevils win in the qualifier on Friday. Betfair offers 41/100 on a CSK win as opposed to 9/10 on a Daredevils’ victory.

However, DD skipper Sehwag is favoured to be the top scorer of the tournament attracting odds of 23/1. His KKR counterpart, Gautam Gambhir, is next in the pecking order, with quoted odds of 29/1.

KKR are favoured over both CSK and DD to win the title, going by the odds offered by various bookmakers.

While most bookies quote 10/11 on a KKR title win, they offer 9/4 on a Chennai triumph in the competition. Meanwhile, Daredevils attract odds of 3/1 as likely champions.

The best odds on Chennai winning IPL 5 are offered by 888sport who quote the defending champions at 2/1.
