Joe Cole has moved from West Ham United to Liverpool on a free transfer. Having passed a medical on Thursday, the former West Ham United youth academy product has signed a deal that would keep him with the Hammers for the next 18 months. The midfielder was visibly happy with the return to his former club and stated that he learnt his trade at Upton Park. Before his second spell with the Londoners, Cole has played for Chelsea, Liverpool and Lille.
Queens Park Rangers, who are staring at relegation, have completed the signing of Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim. The 30-year old has previously played for Chelsea, Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers. A free agent since his departure from Portsmouth in August last year, Ben Haim will be playing for the Rangers till the end of this season.

West Ham have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland under-19 international Sean Maguire from Waterford United. The contract is set to end in May 2015. The 18-year old was instrumental in Waterford gaining promotion from the League of Ireland first division this year, having scored 13 goals in 24 appearances. After a successful trial last month, the deal has been completed and is now subject to international clearance.
Tottenham Hotspur have signed young left-back Ezekiel Fryers from Standard Liege. The 20-year old Englishman began his footballing career in Manchester United and made six appearances for the Red Devils last season before moving to Belgium in summer. Fryers, who has also played for England in the under-16, under-17 and under-19 level, has made seven appearances for Liege so far.
In a bid to shore up their leaky defence, Newcastle United have signed the French right-back Mathieu Debuchy. Alan Pardew, who has built a reputation for bringing many players from France and turning them into successful stars in the league, has offered the French international a five-and-a-half year contract. Debuchy has made over 230 appearances during his ten year career at Lille and has also won 12 caps for the French national team. In a statement to the club’s official website, the 27-year old defender said that he was thrilled to be part of a big club that competes in the best league in the world.
